Chanel created a fashion icon using boucle for her classic suit. Florence Knoll popularized in mid-century the use of subtle nubbly boucle with classic Saarinen and Eames furniture for our homes and offices. Now Jonas Everets Design is pleased to adapt in a new way this 20th Century classic of fashion and design. Announcing the Jonas Everets Design BOUCLE custom plaster wall finish for the discerning designer and homeowner.
As seen in The New York Times, the JED custom Boucle plaster wall finish was created for the 2008 Kips Bay Decorator Show House in collaboration with interior designer Philip Gorrivan. The designer chose to execute the finish in grey with a subtle touch of green. It has a weave to the surface like yarns of a boucle fabric, yet is smooth and polished. The texture grabs the light for a distinctive shine and adds depth to the walls for a well-balanced, yet dynamic appearance. Jonas Everets Design did the Kips Bay version for Philip Gorrivan in only one color, but it can also be done in multiple colors and colored wax can be added for a different effect.
Jonas Everets Design is a boutique creative design studio providing unique material solutions for a discerning clientele from some of world's leading designers and architects to private homeowners. From custom plasters and wall finishes to unique interlocking tiles and hand-made plaster friezes, Jonas and his team are taking time tested material techniques and innovating them for the 21st Century.
