Recent Project- Centre Island, NY Residence with Designer Bunny Williams
The inspiration for the bespoke chocolate brown finish made specially for Bunny Williams was the rich texture of full-grain leather. We used a number of special materials and colors, each hand layered using varied techniques. Through the use of custom plasters, clear coats and waxes, the walls were transformed from flat surfaces into highly reflective textured walls. The resulting look ties together the room's thoughtfully placed furnishings, while counterbalancing the vivid floral patterns throughout the interior design.
In the family room next door, we finished the walls in a classic sand colored Venetian Plaster. In contrast to the glossy look of the living room, we sealed these walls with a non-wax topcoat, imparting a softer satin sheen. A detail of this custom look is highlighted below.
